A stone on the floor of the nave in the Parish Church of St Peter, Leeds states that Richard (ID No 97) was buried there on 11th June 1773 aged 76 alongside his late wife & two daughters. Thomas became an apprentice to Richard Kitchingham for a period of 7 years commencing in 1714 according to Wilson's book entitled ''Gentleman Merchants'. He was Mayor of Leeds in 1735 & and again in 1752  He & his wife lived at Red Hall, in King Charles Croft, Headrow, Leeds. It was reputed to be the first house in Leeds to be built of brick. Now demolished. There is an Inscriptions in St Peters Leeds Parish Church to Thomas & his wife Elizabeth.

Will obtained - dated 1st April 1667 and proved 27th February 1678 gives the tuition of his children, Richard and Ellen, to John Micklethwait of Ingbirchworth. (No 60).
